ADIDAS MEN'S RUNNING SHOES

Whether you’re an experienced runner concentrated on dominating your next race, or just getting started, our selection of men’s running shoes will empower you to run fast, confident and true. Our shoes feature technical designs that support every running style and surface, while aimed at helping you achieve your greatness.

CONSIDER THE SURFACE

Men’s running shoes vary depending on the tread you’re up against. Treadmills, city roads, or trails all require different types of running shoe features to minimize injury and encourage a smooth ride.

Treadmill runners typically require more cushioning in the heel for a softer impact, and less in the toe area for a lightweight forefoot.

• Trail runners require more traction for soft and muddy surfaces. Heavier materials, a firmer midsole and rubber tread improve foot protection and durability on tough terrain.

Road runners don’t require as much traction to ride paved routes. A men’s running shoe built with a lightweight upper, midsole, and thin tread enhances speed and responsiveness.

BODY DYNAMICS

Understanding how you run plays a critical role in long-lasting comfort. You’ll want to think about the level of impact and cushioning you want. Some runners may want a softer, lighter midsole designed to sustain less impact at each foot strike and deeper flex-cut grooves in the tread to maximize responsiveness of the cushioning.

Every runner’s body, gait and foot strike is a little bit different, and we design men's running shoes with this in mind.

• If you need a neutral running shoe, get the most out of your run with lightweight cushioning and standard stability to sustain natural foot motion.

• If you tend to pronate (or roll your foot slightly inward) while running then look for running shoes for men that provide extra firm support in the midsole and heel for maximum stability.

• If you under pronate (or roll your foot slightly outward), you’ll want lightweight, flexible cushioning for shock absorption and improved foot motion

COUNT THOSE MILES AS YOU GO THE DISTANCE

How often and how long you run is a critical to how often you should replace your men’s running shoes. Don’t use the same pair of running shoes for too long because it’s important to not over-wear the shoes you train in. Even though they may not look worn out, regular running shoes should only be worn for about 250 to 375 miles. Additionally, it's smart to rotate through a few pairs of shoes to help prevent injuries.

EXPERIENCE MATTERS

While style is important, you need to keep your experience and history in mind. The best running shoe is determined by personal preference and how comfortable you are in your shoes. Don't switch up the type of shoe you're using just before a marathon. Additionally, if you’re new to the sport there are men's running shoes designed specifically for you.
